RFPs, grants, and non-profit need
I've spent my morning largely getting distracted by non-profit initiatives, community building, and creative placemaking (art, culture, and creativity expressed powerfully through a specific place that can create vibrancy and value.)
There's all of this talk about groundbreaking initiatives. I still don't quite know what qualifies as 'groundbreaking' anymore, but I do know that one day I want to be a key proponent of this--seeking new possibilities and making things happen.
ArtPlace: I want to talk about this further, but I will have to come back to it after I look into it a bit more. And when I have more time to waste. I can say, however, that this is what we need. This is what should be happening.
I often resist leadership, I think. I don't know why. I just know that I do it. But I hope/think there's a leader in me yet!
