A fiver and the nice group from long island

What a relief to know that I can be quite charming and personable in situations where it isn't necessarily 'social'. Granted, sometimes the stars have to align in some mysterious way for this to happen, but it does happen.
And I rock, basically.

Tonight was one of those nights at work--where I was in a good mood despite being rushed. I got things done and still had some connections with the people I was pouring wine for left and right.
On my game.

I think the guy in the green hat and the mysterious on-and-off rain jacket was my favorite. He was the tipper of the group and our senses of humor jived well. We talked about wine for a while with his brother, who he actively joked around with and made fun of in front of me, and I finished the night making some jokes about 'rowdiness' disco balls and strobe lights. (I have no idea what topic sparked this. Maybe some friday-night reference).

Victory Moment: he slyly slips me a fiver--comes to the side and shakes my hand and says 'for you'.
follow up sort- of -defeat -moment: He does the same thing to Joe, with a twenty.

.........Good thing baristas split tips. All in all it was a good night. I liked that group.
