Some more thoughts on Restraint

I've been thinking about this term a while ....
"restraint"
I feel like this is reserved for when someone is unsure about how the other person feels or if there's indication of some disparity.
so, I guess I wonder why we have so much of it if we don't have these things.

Or, to quote Stevie, "Why are people so damn afraid all the time?"

Got a point. And I have no answers.
Just the hope/assumption that this mystery-affliction will settle and subside within me.
