I survived another season

The 4th is over! Thank god. That is always rough, even though I work with a lot of really great people while I'm there.

But now that I am done with that I will be helping to take care of my grandpa. I have to be honest, I am a little nervous about it. As counter-intuitive as it seems, it is so incredibly hard for me to spend time with him because I know soon I will lose him.
I think it might be the same for him on some level, too. Lately when we talk about things I can tell how scared he is. It's heart-wrenching.

It's almost easier for me to just distance myself, but I am going to do my best to help him while I can.
