Lesson #1: Don't stay at the bank any longer than you have to.
I went to the bank today for very specific intentions, and then 20 minutes later found myself talking about a credit card and savings accounts bla bla bla. All very responsible stuff, fine, but it was still unsettling.
"I'm sorry, we cannot approve you given your level of commitments in comparison to your income."
HAH!!!!
No shit.
Granted, I probably under-shot my annual income by a few grand, but hearing that sentence has made me feel pretty bad.
Even better: "Do you live with your parents?.....No? Okay then. What are your monthly expenses for rent?"
IS THIS A QUESTION PEOPLE CAN SAY YES TO? holy hell.
I guess so.
That made me feel a little bit better. Good job being able to take care of yourself, Gerin.
