Official business:
so today was the first day of class (my contemporary art one) and my internship.
I usually dont find things like interviews very daunting --in fact im surprisingly good at being overly optimistic and enthusiastic, but only for those 15 or 20 minutes that it is required of me and then I am back to being somewhere between pessimistic and cynical.
anyway, I dont quite know what I will be doing there as of yet, but I am eager to learn as much as possible. From what i understand I will be assisting with publications and marketing efforts (whatever that means). I suppose that will involve some editorial work which is nice.
For fun:
Today I ran into the same girl at least twice in my random explorations of the city. I found it to be a strange and pleasant coincidence.
I am growing quite fond of my conversations with my roomate. these strange and hilarious things must be recorded, I have decided.
[looking up clubs in the area]
ooh here's a club with high ratings. its called G-A-Y.
you mean, gay? why didnt you just say that? "ooh gay whats that?"
because its spelled out with hyphens. no messing around here.
oh,mabye it stands for something else. hmm. "going after yaks."
yea that must be it.
