uhhh. babies?
I'm super freaking out over this baby in boulder right now, just sitting quietly on her mom's lap while she reads picture books to her. I DONT KNOW WHY!
Babies are weird. But she's so cuteeeeee.
also, we talked about perceptions/notions/representations of motherhood yesterday in my film class. Tropes of the 'single mother'. We watched clips with Edda and her daughter (from the film All Around Reduced Personality/ReDuPers) and I'm pretty sure my professor got teary eyed. But not in a sentimental "aww my children!" sort of way. It was about the film and how it portrays closeness, struggle, etc etc. It was about the art and the filmmaker and fine, maybe a little bit about the fact that she's a mother, too. That's okay!
It was kind of touching (even if I didn't understand what the dealio was)
okay now im done! no more kid-talk! Im already super bored with my day and have to research, so I'm sure I'll just write instead. Hopefully.
