Claes Oldenburg is pretty rad.

Sure, sometimes I find his work rather...trite...when I am overtaken by images of the pop art frenzy, but I always find the REASON behind his work, as well as his methods, rather fascinating.

By focusing on the ubiquitous and mundane, he transforms the everyday environment. His work is filled with wit, humor, and metaphoric associations.
