Day 21- One of my Favorite Shows

I've never been one to commit to a TV show. TV isn't really my thing, unless I have a DVD set and need to kill time. But in high school I went on a small crusade against CBS for canceling my favorite show at the time, Joan of Arcadia. I think that was the only time I could really ever claim to have a "favorite show". Actually this is kind of an understatement. JoA was my friday night for a long time, it made me consider screen writing as a potential career, and it was (indirectly) the reason for one of my many stalkers at the time.

That was the most impressive amount of hate mail I have ever written in such a short period of time, and I used to love hate mail. ("suggestions", if you will. I believe in customer feedback okay. It's good business.) After a year long boycott, I eventually gave up. But I really did love that show. It always made me feel better, somehow-- and it was hilarious. And honestly the writing and plot development was fantastic--everything always came together in the end. I really liked that about it.

Oh well. Good TV doesn't last long because of the hoards of people rotting their brain with reality TV and "America's Got Talent" types. Gross.

Now I mostly watch the Food Network, the occasional travel show, and USA/TNT (Rizzoli and Isles! And Bones. hollerr.)
