Sometimes it's a good thing when I can't fall asleep
Last night I found a box of drawings under my bed. They're not particularly old or anything, but I have been looking for them for a while now.
I want to re-purpose them somehow--
theyre one of the few projects Im actually proud of. One because theyre just plain awesome. I like their simplicity. The technical, anatomical feel to them. Secondly, because it's one of maybe three things I've ever done that has any personal significance to me. (of course in an extremely detached way...but hey, progress is progress.)
I think it's hard to be a "creative person" when you're as detached and removed from yourself as I have become. No reason for this, no solution as of yet, but that is where I am right now. (They say recognizing "the problem" is the first step. Great, i've been on this step for 2 years. Next??)
Anyway, that's why me laying in my bed for over 2 hours last night was more pleasant an experience than irritating. I was thinking about 'art stuff', which if a pretty rare occurrence for me lately. No brilliant ideas came of it, but im fine with placing it the 'right direction' box and going with that.
If I ever get my scanner to work, ill post some of the pictures.
