Lessons in Behavior Modification
Lecture Number One:
1) While in her home, dress appropriately: shirts down to the elbows, skirts to the knees, and proper shoes. Do not want to make any of the women uncomfortable.
2) Practice a subdued sense of humor.
Tone down your sarcasm, Sarah. We know how you are.
3) Try not to talk about Judaism (what you "dont understand"). Or for that matter,
4) Sexuality.
5) My family.
Why would I ever want to bring that up? Ill be the only other Gerin representation, that's good enough, right?
6) Make sure Dad is "presentable".
7) Be courteous and kind.
(So what am I, otherwise?)
8) Try not to be so shy. They might take it the wrong way.
Yes, it will be difficult not to tremble in the corner, crippled with fear, but i will do my best.
I cannot wait to see what other lessons i must adopt before next week.
