It's a good thing.
Discontent, or even moments of crisis, I believe are the result of prolonged complacency. While scary and a little defeating at times, they are both important for propelling us forward. They give us momentum, a space for reflection and learning, and hopefully compel us to act. It's important not to get stuck in this place of discontent, though; but rather to use it as a stepping stone to new things.
I've been feeling this way for about two weeks now. I know what areas of my life are causing me discontent. The solutions are a bit harder to navigate. I recognize that if left in this place, discontent further devolves into inaction and almost acceptance of the things we don't like about ourselves or our lives. And that is a hard place to leave.
Here we go!
