Hit and Run Club
No, this doesn't refer to any criminal activity on my part. Though, I have come very close to getting hit by a car on more than one occasion (pedestrians have no rights here)
Last night met some screen printers from LA, they were doing some promotional event at the book club, where I frequently go to hang out w/ Sarah and escape the flat. I talked to them a bit and got a free shirt made. Very cool.
It was a night of free things! Prior to this I checked out a photography exhibit opening across the way. Not very good, but I did get a glass (or two..) of wine and talked with some interesting folks. It never fails to make me angry though, how expensive art is priced--even when it isn't good. I think about this a lot actually, when I go into galleries. Some of the most well-known artists make things that in my opinion, are no better than any of my things or my friends things or I dunno, the 100s or artists running around trying to make something of themselves.
I find the art market frustrating and thoroughly exhausting; and I feel as though I'll never understand it.
Anyway, before I get on a rant..I'll end with the fact that it was a good night, despite having gotten in a little tiff with Jackie. No big deal.
Oh wait--one more thing: MOONLIGHTING.
okay, now its time for a walk to Camden Market.
